Jury Comments: The house has some very quirky and imaginative aspects, but it is always in scale with and respectful of its neighbors. The creation of small semi-enclosed exterior spaces and a casual but studied massing make the outside and inside weave together. The way the house can open-up in good weather is especially noteworthy. The interior spaces are pleasant and nicely detailed without anything excessive or out of place. They speak quietly but forcefully. Everything, inside and out, works together to create a wonderful light-filled house.
