Wine Cave Wins CT AIA Award!


Beinfield Architecture has received the Connecticut AIA's 2012 Encompassing Art Award. Thank you to our wonderful clients for letting us work together in creating this amazing space. 

Monday night at the Long Wharf Theater was an exciting evening for the designers of Beinfield Architecture.  James Wassell accepted a drawing award. Bruce Beinfield FAIA accepted the Business in Architecture Award for Volo Aviation. And Andrew Bartolotta AIA accepted the Encompassing the Art Award for the wine cave pictured below. 

Those great back lit colored barrels? That's creative use of snare drum forms!

The AIA's jury has this to say about the space:
The wine cellar is playful, celebratory, and innovative. With economy of means, it uses a new vocabulary of project type.
